Inconsistent ink flow.My wife gifted me with this Pen.
Since the beginning I am feeling the ink flow is not consistence. When I start writing Ink flow was more than expected as writing goes on ink flow got reduced than expected. If I stop writing for a while and then start again ink flows look ok gradually it reduces. If I wait for a long time initially ink flow is more than expected. I send the pain to Lamy service center, after inspection they told me there was no issue just regular service was required. But again I am facing the same issue. Completely disappointed.Posted on

DREAM accomplishedThis pen was gifted to me by one of my special friend and Lamy Safari was my first dream to have in my collection.
Initially it was stopping at almost all pages.. but then I took it to local lamy store.. after simple free service it worked like feather...
It make a special impression when I put it in shirt pocket due to its clip..
And many people still get surprised I am using fountain pen , your clothes will get spoil as it's after all ink pen..But I am proudly reply them it's LAMY..Posted on

My second LamyI bought my first Lamy many years ago and it lasted for more than 10 years before it was lost. In nutshell it went on and on giving my the writing pleasure. Now I have bought Lamy Safari 17 B Umbra model broad nib as lamy always work beautifully with broad nibs.

Lammy Safari fountain penI have been using the Lammy Safari fountain pen for more than a decade now. The first pen I bought was for 750/-way back in 2010. I must have bought a score of the pens since then. This alone speaks of the quality of the pen. I have bought costlier pens from Sheaffers and Sailor and other brands, but nothing beats this. Lammy is the cheapest and the best writing instrument that you can own. It is a long lasting pen that gives you pleasure every time you use it. Pair it with a pot of Lammy ink and you have the best pair in the world of writing. Highly recommended as the daily use pen, as also a collection item. Go for the medium nib.

ExcellentIt is a beautiful pen design, just not worth 3000 rupees. Because you make it with plastic that's barely same amount as 4 or 5 keyboard buttons. (Same abs plastic)
More like a 50 rupee pen. Japanese uni ball gives you probably 50 pens made out of same material... they're called Jetstream.Posted on

Its a good pen but always go with the medium nibA very Goop pen but always buy never buy the lamy pen with a fine tip it take the whole smoothness away and the delivery could have been better as when i received it was totally dismantled

PerfectMy first safari was in 2006 medium nib . Tried all inks never got an issue . Then broad nib and fine nib also tried with all brands inks and again no issue. The flow of ink gets controlled in this even the dark shade ink will appear beautifully on paper with it. Light weight of pen makes you use it for longer time , cap posting at back make it good for big hands.very addictive pen .
